A Notion In Time: About and Why

A NOTION IN TIME is an expression and extension of my love for all that is good in the world, my loved ones, myself, creation, and above all, the Creator – who has blessed me and humanity with the gift of feeling and expressing this complex emotion - LOVE.

A NOTION IN TIME is a project of my passion for both the reality and illusion of love, along with the actions it requires in all its forms, expressions, complications, and in all stages of our lives. Love for family, friends, romantic partners, strangers, ideas, dreams, art, service, self, faith – whether in the past, present, and the unknown of what is to come in our tomorrow.

I would like this to be an avenue for sharing, sharing what the notion of a moment meant at any time in your life. To accept who and where we were in that moment, without judgment, with compassion, patience, and understanding. Life is a journey with many lessons to learn; some we are not always ready for when they come, others we don't see in the moment. I am a participant, a seeker, a student, of life and love, for the rest of my life. My journey is teaching me the essential qualities of humility and honesty, with myself primarily and as a result with others. Equally important, I am learning the need to develop strength and courage, to be open to sharing moments, thoughts, and feelings both with me and those around me, which has ultimately led me to a better understanding of what it means to be a conscious human. The focus of this project is not me as much as it is about sharing - the feelings, the expressions, the highs, the lows, the songs, the poems, the pictures, things with meaning at a given moment in time. A Notion in Time is our journey, and I invite you to join me in this exploration and share, knowing you are being supported and heard.

I reference 'a' truth instead of 'the' truth because the way I'm learning to see things is that there isn't always one truth. Now, there is no taking away from what we experience in a moment; it is all genuine. Connecting with that perspective and emotion is essential to continued clarity. Yet, when looking back and reflecting on times passed, the picture can look and feel different. At that moment, things are based on where we have chosen to focus our attention, limiting our view and influencing what we believe to be truth, making each time just a notion. Opening our hearts with humility and allowing our focus to shift with grace leads to deeper understanding, growth, and wisdom.

A lotus flower emerges from muddy waters and unfolds cleanly to reflect pure beauty. As it relates to human traits, while closed, a lotus flower represents a folded soul opening to divine truth. As I journey within the muddy waters of the world and unfold my soul to open in truth – I will share thoughts, words, songs, and my gems of love, in happy and sad times. The love that moves me holds me accountable and walks me to a safe space. The love that serves as my guide down a path of kindness, service, clarity, awareness, authenticity, personal expansion within and with others.

With a humble heart and a sincere interest in seeing the beauty in humanity, in you, and myself, A Notion in Time comes to you. May it usher a path to your expression and extension of love towards the Creator, yourself, and others within these muddy waters towards pure beauty.
